Candidates include Ni‑plated low‑carbon steel, stainless steel 304, aluminum 6061, high‑recycled aluminum (70% secondary content), polypropylene, polycarbonate, GFRP, and CFRP. Minimum wall thickness is set by a 0.5 MPa design pressure with a safety factor of 2 (≥0.15 mm for metals; 0.7 mm for polymers/composites). Simulations at a 5 W heat load for h = 50 W/m²K (forced) and h = 10 W/m²K (natural) show that external convection dominates total thermal resistance; under forced convection, ΔT spans 26.7–29.9 K with <1% variation among metals. From the LCA, per‑casing carbon footprints range from ≈6.4 gCO₂e (Ni‑plated steel) to ≈74 gCO₂e (CFRP). Pareto and MCDA place Ni‑plated steel and high‑recycled aluminum on the optimal frontier when ΔT, mass, and GWP are considered together. The key insight is that improving the convective coefficient (via airflow/interface design) is far more effective at lowering temperature than substituting casing materials, while material circularity (recycled content) delivers larger climate benefits than marginal conductivity gains.
Fauzi Ibrahim Teuku Marjuni Rina Febrina Agus Apriyanto Novia Utami Putri Retno Wahyudi Alexander Sembiring Adam Wisnu Murti Copyright (c) 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 349 360 10.23960/elc.v20n3.2968 Optimalisasi Faktor Daya dan Reduksi Rugi Daya Menggunakan Capacitor Bank Berbasis MATLAB Simulink https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3092
Abstract. Operation of electrical equipment with a low power factor results in increased current and reactive power, reducing efficiency and causing losses in the PLN distribution network. This study examines the capacitor bank requirements based on load measurements and power factor (cosφ) for 52 three-phase low-voltage customers of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Karang. MATLAB simulations were used to determine the required capacity of the capacitor bank to increase the power factor above 0.85. The simulation results show that after installing capacitor banks, the average power factor increased to 0.99. Active power increased by 30.4% (from 76,638 watts to 99,970 watts), while reactive power decreased by 63% (from 65,768 VAR to 24,521 VAR). These improvements are expected to enhance the operational efficiency of electrical equipment with inductive loads and reduce power losses in the PLN network.
Fatahilal Rasyid Agusta Yenni Afrida Fitriono Fitriono Dasweptia D Hamimi Hamimi Jeckson son Yudi Eka Putra Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 361 373 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3092 An IoT-Enabled Ebb-and-Flow Cultivation System with Fan-Based Ventilation Control for Bucephalandra sp https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3163
Bucephalandra sp. is a high-value aquatic ornamental plant whose cultivation in tropical climates such as Lampung is constrained by ambient temperatures that frequently exceed the 22 to 28 °C physiological range. Existing IoT and control studies for plant environments focus predominantly on common horticultural crops; the combination of ebb-and-flow subirrigation, closed-loop thermal control, and edge-node IoT monitoring on a single embedded platform remains unreported for this species. This study designed and evaluated an IoT-enabled ebb-and-flow cultivation system for Bucephalandra sp. on an ESP32-S3, integrating proportional fan ventilation control at a 26 °C setpoint with RTC-scheduled flood-drain cycling and Node-RED monitoring on a Jetson Nano edge node. After linear-regression calibration, the DHT22 achieved 99.16 % temperature accuracy and 96.14 % humidity accuracy; the DS18B20 achieved 99.22 % water-temperature accuracy. The optimal controller configuration (Kp = 500) produced 1.54 % overshoot without sustained oscillation. The flood-drain schedule maintained timing within 1 to 2 s of the reference clock, and HTTP telemetry to Google Sheets achieved 99.4 % packet storage success. One-month seedling survival of 95.9 % (209/218) indicates that the integrated platform sustained viable cultivation conditions under the tested configuration
Al Barra Harahap Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 374 384 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3163 Rancang Bangun Alat Deteksi Stres Berdasarkan Detak Jantung, Suhu Tubuh, Dan Konduktivitas Kulit Menggunakan Metode Logika Fuzzy https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/2935

Achmad Fauzan Arief Fauzan Sri Purwiyanti Umi Murdika Herlinawati Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 385 392 10.23960/elc.v20n3.2935 Implementasi Pengendalian Tegangan Keluaran Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB) Skala Piko Menggunakan Cuk Converter Dengan Tuning Fuzzy Logic Control https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3308
Pico-scale Wind Power Plants have a weakness, its the wind speed fluctuations that affect the stability of the generator's output voltage. Currently, bifacial solar panels are an increasingly developed technology because they are capable of absorbing solar radiation from both sides, resulting in higher electrical power output compared to monofacial solar panels. Therefore, a reflector is required to direct solar energy toward both sides of the panel. This study aims to obtain the optimal power output of a 595 Wp bifacial solar panel equipped with a flat mirror reflector. The placement of the flat mirror reflector was analyzed based on variations in the tilt angle and the distance between the reflector and the bifacial solar panel. An experimental method was employed with nine testing variations, consisting of three reflector angles (45°, 55°, and 65°) and three reflector distances (50 cm, 100 cm, and 150 cm). The results show that the combination of a 45° reflector angle and a 150 cm reflector distance produced a power output of 301.35 W, which is significantly higher than the output without a reflector, which was only 116.99 W under nearly identical irradiance conditions of approximately 920 W/m². Based on these results, it can be concluded that appropriate selection of reflector angle and distance plays a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing the performance of bifacial solar panels.
Putri Iriyani Purnama Sari I Made Ari Nrartha Agung Budi Muljono I Made Ginarsa Sultan Sultan I Nyoman Wahyu Satiawan Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 403 411 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3096 Perbandingan Implementasi Decision Tree C4.5 dan Single Layer Perceptron (SLP) untuk Klasifikasi Penyakit Stroke https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/2767
The use of Machine Learning (ML) in the health sector is one solution to help the process of classifying and diagnosing diseases based on patient clinical data. However, using all the features in a dataset without selection can cause a decrease in model performance due to the presence of irrelevant or redundant features. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effect of feature selection techniques on the performance of ML models such as SVM, Tree, kNN and Random Forest on the cirrhosis dataset. The stages used in this research include the application of several ML models as classification models, as well as the application of various feature selection techniques such as Information Gain (IG), Gain Ratio (GR), and Gini Decrease (GD) and performance evaluation. Model evaluation is carried out by comparing classification results before and after feature selection using accuracy, precision and recall metrics. The research results show that the application of feature selection can significantly improve the performance of the cirrhosis classification model, while reducing the complexity of the model. In addition, the effectiveness of feature selection techniques varies depending on the ML algorithm used, so there is no one feature selection method that is always superior for all models. This research proves that feature selection is an important stage in ML-based medical data processing and can increase the accuracy and efficiency of cirrhosis diagnosis
Agus Wantoro Ferly Ardhy Dwi Yana Ayu Andini Aviv Fitria Yulia Dwi Feriyanto Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 431 439 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3102 Deteksi Objek Rambu Lalu Lintas Indonesia Berbasis Algoritma You Only Look Once Version 8 Nano (YOLOv8n) Menggunakan Python https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3156
Sistem persepsi atau pengindraan merupakan kunci utama kendaraan otonom untuk dapat bergerak secara andal. Meanwhile, the potential for solar energy in the area is quite large, but the use of solar panels is still unable to capture sunlight optimally because it cannot follow changes in the sun's position. To overcome this problem, this study developed a dual-axis solar tracker system based on Arduino UNO that allows the panel to move following the direction of sunlight both horizontally and vertically. Based on the results of testing for five days, the system was able to produce an average voltage of 14.79 V, an average current of 3.85 A and an average power of 56.9 W according to the principle in equation 2. The total energy obtained each day reached 575.74 Wh and was able to fully charge a 12 V 35 Ah battery in approximately 7 hours in sunny conditions. The stored energy was used to power LED lights through an inverter with an average power of 12.89 W and a usage duration of 10-11 hours at night. These results prove that dual-axis solar trackers can increase the effectiveness of solar energy absorption and reduce the use of generators on fishing vessels, making them more economical and environmentally friendly.
Novia Utami Putri Agus Apriyanto Fauzi Ibrahim Retno Wahyudi Alexander Sembiring Adam Wisnu Murti sasmita iqbal shofwan Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 449 457 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3221 Alokasi Optimal Pembangkit Tersebar Pada Sistem Distribusi Tenaga Listrik Untuk Meminimisasi Rugi-Rugi Daya https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3141
This paper presents a new method to determine the optimal DG (Distributed Generation) location and capacity in radial distribution networks to minimize power losses. The proposed method is based on the power loss formula as a function of node currents or injection currents. To obtain the optimal DG location and capacity, only a single load flow solution (i.e. basecase load flow solution) is required. Furthermore, the calculation of bus impedance matrix or bus admittance matrix is also not necessary in the procedure to obtain the optimal DG allocation. The proposed method has been tested and validated using two IEEE test systems, namely the 12-bus and 33-bus systems. The test results show that significant power loss reduction can be achieved through the application of the method proposed in this paper.
Rudy Gianto M. To overcome this issue, the study proposes an automated classification approach using a deep learning model based on MobileNetV2. The objective of this study is to develop an accurate and efficient model for classifying coffee beans into four ripeness levels: Dark, Green, Light, and Medium, while ensuring its applicability in real-world conditions with limited resources. The dataset consists of 1,200 images collected from coffee plantations in Indonesia, processed through resizing, normalization, and data augmentation to improve generalization. The model was trained using transfer learning and evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results show that the model achieves an accuracy of 98.33% on the testing dataset, with a precision of 0.985, recall of 0.983, and F1-score of 0.983. When implemented in a web-based application, it achieves 97.8% accuracy with an average response time of 1.8 seconds and is capable of handling up to 100 concurrent users with stable performance. These findings indicate that the proposed model is effective and reliable for supporting automated coffee bean classification and enhancing efficiency in post-harvest processing.
Angga Bayu Santoso Okma Arnilia Sahrial Ihsani Ishak I Gusti Nyoman Agung Bisma Tatwa Riki Rikardo Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 466 477 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3155 Evaluasi Efektivitas Kondensor Direct Contact Tipe Jet Spray pada PLTP Unit 4 Area Ulubelu https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3188
Indonesia has very large geothermal potential; however, its utilization is still not optimal. One of the important components affecting the performance of a Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) is the condenser, particularly the jet spray direct-contact condenser, which functions to condense turbine exhaust steam while maintaining system vacuum conditions. This study aims to determine the condenser effectiveness and analyze the influence of steam heat capacity on condenser performance at PLTP Unit 4 PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Area Ulubelu. The research method was conducted through the collection of field operational data, calculation of thermodynamic parameters, and analysis of condenser effectiveness based on the heat transfer relationship between steam and cooling water. The analysis results show that condenser effectiveness is influenced by steam heat capacity and cooling system operating conditions, which directly affect the condenser’s ability to reduce turbine exhaust steam temperature and maintain system vacuum. Increasing condenser effectiveness contributes to optimizing plant performance and reducing operational costs. Therefore, evaluating condenser effectiveness is an important step in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of geothermal power plant operations.
Agus Apriyanto Hafidz Zakiyun Alrasyid Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 478 485 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3188 Discrete-Time PID Speed Control for DC Motor via Z-Transform: Performance Analysis Across Simulation and Embedded Implementation Environments https://electrician.unila.ac.id/index.php/ojs/article/view/3210
This paper presents the design and comparative performance analysis of a discrete-time Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller for DC motor speed regulation using the Z-transform method and Zero-Order Hold (ZOH) discretization. The principal contribution is a systematic analysis of controller behavioral differences between an ideal simulation environment (MATLAB/Simulink) and a microcontroller-based simulation platform (Tinkercad Arduino), revealing the quantitative impact of discretization effects on closed-loop dynamic response. System stability is rigorously verified through pole-zero analysis in the Z-plane. Performance evaluation encompasses time-domain metrics rise time, settling time, percent overshoot, and steady-state error supplemented by integral performance indices (ISE, IAE, and ITAE). The Tinkercad implementation yields an underdamped response (tr = 0.827 s, ts = 13.74 s, Mp = 64.78%, ess = 0), while the Simulink simulation produces a critically damped response without overshoot. These discrepancies are quantitatively attributed to finite-precision arithmetic, computational delay, and PWM output resolution constraints inherent to the microcontroller platform. The findings underscore the critical necessity of implementation-aware evaluation in the development of reliable embedded control systems.
Andicho Haryus Wirasapta Hamzah Alghifari Muhammad Damas Fatih Mohammad Alfiza Rayesa Muhammad Taufik Ramadhoni Tiara Deta Pamungkas Copyright (c) 2026 Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-09-29 2026-09-29 20 3 486 498 10.23960/elc.v20n3.3210
