Simulasi Pengaruh Ketinggian Nodal Sensor Terhadap Quality of Services (QoS) Jaringan Sensor Nirkabel Dengan Ns-2

Abstract

Abstrak---Jaringan Sensor Nirkabel (JSN) terdiri atas sejumlah besar nodal sensor yang dapat mempermudah kita untuk melakukan berbagai pemantauan, salah satunya adalah pemantauan lingkungan. Dikarenakan keadaan alam yang berbeda di masing-masing tempat, maka perlu dilakukan simulasi dengan memperhitungkan ketinggian nodal sensor secara acak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan asumsi luas bidang simulasi 500 meter x 500 meter dengan jumlah nodal sensor 4, 16, 25, 49, 64, 100 dan 144, nodal sensor diletakkan secara teratur namun ketinggian nodal sensor divariasikan secara acak 0-5 meter dan 0-10 meter serta interval waktu pengiriman 0,5 detik, 1 detik dan 2 detik. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, diperoleh nilai optimal dengan jumlah 100 nodal sensor. Pengujian tersebut menghasilkan tingkat performansi rata-rata throughput (2,805 KBps) hampir mencapai nilai maksimum dengan rata-rata delay (203 ms) dan jitter (1 ms) minimum serta pencapaian persentase packet loss (24,70%).Variasi interval waktu penyensoran berpengaruh terhadap nilai rata-rata throughput, delay, jitter namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap packet loss. Berdasarkan perbandingan simulasi dengan variasi ketinggian 0 meter dan variasi ketinggian acak, didapatkan nilai optimal untuk hasil QoS yang lebih baik pada variasi ketinggian 0 meter. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian nodal sensor berpengaruh terhadap kinerja QoS JSN.Kata kunci--- Jaringan Sensor Nirkabel; Micaz mote; Quality of Service; Network Simulator 2 Abstract---Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) consists of a large number of sensor node that can facilitate us to perform a variety of monitoring, one of it is environmental monitoring. Because of the natural circumstances are different in each place, so we conducted a simulation with a height sensor node randomly. This research assumed that the wide area of simulation of 500 meter x 500 meter with a sensor node 4, 16, 25, 49, 64, 100 and 144, the site of sensor node is constant but height of sensor node is the variation of randomly are 0-5 meters and 0-10 sensor meters and the interval time delivery is 0.5, 1 and 2 seconds. Based on test results, the optimum value is 100 sensor node where average performance level of throughput (2,805 KBps) almost reached its maximum value with the average value of the minimum delay(203 ms),  jitter (1 ms) and the achieving the packet loss (24,70%). Simulation results show that a growing number of data packets was transmitted then the average throughput, delay and jitter the higher becomes but the average packet loss is smaller than before. Variation interval censorship affect the value of the average throughput, delay, jitter but not affect of the packet loss. Based on the simulation of comparison with 0 meter variation of height and variation of height randomly, it obtained the optimum value for QoS results is better in 0 meter variation of  height. It shows that sensor with variation of height have been effect toward QoS JSN performance.Keyword--- Wireless Sensor Network, Micaz mote, Quality of Service, Network Simulator 2
