Electrician : Jurnal Rekayasa dan Teknologi Elektro published it's first articles in 2007, on Volume 1 Issue 1, with ISSN Number: 1978-6042 and published 3 times a year.

- The first editor-in-chief was Dr. Sri Ratna Sulistiyanti, M.T., she served from 2007-2012.

- The second editor-in-chief was Dr. Eng. Lukmanul Hakim, S.T., M.Sc.,  he served from 2012-2019.

- The third editor-in-chief was Dr. Eng. FX Arinto Setyawan ,  he served from 2019-2025.

During publishing scientific publications in the field of Informatics and Electrical Engineering, Electrician uses 3 versions of paper templates;

- Template version 1, used in the period 2007-2012
- Template version 2, used in the period 2012-2019
- Template version 3, used in 2025 until now.

Electrician has been indexed by; SINTA, Crossref, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, IOS (Indonesia OneSearch), Garuda (Garba Digital Reference), Dimension, Index Copernicus, Citefactor.

2024 - Changes in editorial policy to only accept articles written in English or Indonesia and Changes in editorial policy to require Mandatory author declaration for each newly submitted article, also Changes in editorial policy to only require the transfer of publication right from the author.
