Scientific Publication Ethics of the ELECTRICIAN Journal

The ELECTRICIAN journal is published by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Lampung as a platform for publishing research results and review articles from researchers in the field of electrical engineering.

This scientific publication ethics guideline is designed to provide ethical guidance for all parties involved in the publication process in ELECTRICIAN, including: management, editors, reviewers, and authors. It upholds three core ethical values in publication: Neutrality (the ELECTRICIAN team serves solely as a publication platform without any interest in the content of publications), Fairness (ensuring the rights and obligations of all parties are balanced), and Honesty (free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism).

 

Responsibilities of the ELECTRICIAN Journal Publisher

The publisher of ELECTRICIAN is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through administrative processes, editing, layout design, and evaluation in accordance with the template and publication guidelines applicable in ELECTRICIAN.

The ELECTRICIAN publisher guarantees academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.

 

Responsibilities of the Editor

The editor of ELECTRICIAN is responsible for deciding which manuscripts can be published in ELECTRICIAN. This decision is made through an editorial board meeting based on applicable rules regarding copyright violations, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, and the suitability of publishing a scientific work.

The process of evaluating, reviewing, and accepting manuscripts is carried out by the ELECTRICIAN editorial team based on the principle of equal treatment in decision-making, without discrimination based on gender, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology.

The editor of ELECTRICIAN will not use the content of manuscripts for personal or group interests beyond the purpose of publication in ELECTRICIAN.

The editor of ELECTRICIAN has the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the criteria for publication in ELECTRICIAN and return the manuscript’s ownership rights to the author.

 

Responsibilities of the Reviewer

The ELECTRICIAN reviewer’s role is to assist the editor in making editorial decisions regarding manuscripts submitted as candidates for publication in ELECTRICIAN.

The ELECTRICIAN reviewer is responsible for providing editorial recommendations based on their review of the manuscript.

The review process is conducted objectively and is supported by clear and unambiguous arguments.

The ELECTRICIAN reviewer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of citations, references, and originality of the data being reviewed, as well as checking for potential duplication, data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.

The ELECTRICIAN reviewer maintains the confidentiality of information and does not use the information from the reviewed manuscript for personal gain or benefit.

 

Responsibilities of the Author

Authors are responsible for presenting their manuscript clearly, honestly, and free from duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.

Authors are accountable for the accuracy of all claims made in their manuscript.

Authors must properly cite and acknowledge the opinions and works of others referenced in their manuscript.

Manuscripts must be written ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with scientific writing standards.

Authors must agree to their manuscript being edited during the review and layout process, provided that it does not alter the substance or main ideas of the work.
